ESPN Browns reporter Jeremy Fowler reports Johnny Manziel has been released from a drug and alcohol treatment facility.
Manziel spent more than two months in the treatment facility trying to get his life and career back on track. The former is obviously the most important, but the focus will now change to Manziel's murky future with the Browns. Cleveland appears to have moved on from last year's first-round pick. They actively pursued Sam Bradford this offseason, and are reportedly interested in trading up for Oregon QB Marcus Mariota. If Cleveland cannot land a quarterback before training camp, Manziel would compete with journeyman QB Josh McCown for the starting job. If his focus is fully on football, Manziel has the talent to win that battle.
