A new chapter

About 3 years ago my family an I moved states to pursue a new job opportunity. Bought a great house, with a great game room. I had memorabilia up all over the walls and everything was great.

6 months later, the job didn't work out so our family went back to our original home. We rented a house to avoid paying two house payments every month while our house was for sale. We expected it to take a few months with the economy, but what we didn't expect was what happened

We sold our house 27 months later. 27!

The point of this story is that now, with a house that we just bought in our permanent home, I have a game room again! Finally, I'll get to display the memorabilia that's been cooped up in boxes for 27 months.

My collection isn't as amazing as some, but considering how long that I've really been collecting (about 3 years) I'm pretty happy with it.

So we've got a clean slate! I'll try to post a picture every day of the progress, and I've attached the first one with about half of my stuff laying out on the pool table, ground ect.

I didn't get a whole lot of stuff done tonight due to not having all the proper materials and selection Sunday. However, I was able to hang a couple pictures and an autographed photo. Here they are. Sorry if you haven't heard of the guy in green, he's kind of a no-name!

If that looks like it's in a different room, it's because it is. I realized that I have too much stuff for the main game room, so im going to split it between two (the one with the Bird photo was already going to be a phoosball room, just now it's going to have memorabilia)

Thanks! Yeah, I hate the Celtics but that's probaly one of the 3 or 4 nices pieces in my collection. Glad to hear that! I'll always try to post a daily update until it's finished.


Well, I hoped for a big update, and I think I got one! I was finally able to get the materials to put up some nice shelves. I completed an entire wall (OU football stuff) and started on two others (Broncos and baseball/basketball misc).

OU #1- Billy Simms auto 8 by 10, Jason white 03' Heisman mini, Reggie smith mini

Broncos wall- er, half a wall. Team collage after the back2back titles, and just a cool fabric logo. Sorry for the extremely poor quality on this one.

Misc wall- 6 plastic bobble heads from a long time ago. Griffey jr, Pedro Martinez, Nolan Ryan, Alex Rodriguez, Cal Ripken jr, and ichiro (not in that order). Then to the right of that is two more Broncos pieces. A John Elway signed Wheaties box and a Terrell Davis beanie baby. Again, sorry for the poor quality.

I'm hoping that by tomorrow, I can finally touch my baseball collection and my photo collection, plus maybe add a few more addition from my LCS.

Didn't get a ton done today, but I did hang several photos and I hung up the main highlights of my autographed baseball collection.

First things first, I moved the Elway Wheaties box with my other Broncos wall in order to create a total baseball wall.

Got quite a bit done today, including adding something that is one of my favorite pieces to date!

Updated Broncos wall- added a Jason Elam/Tom Dempsey dual auto (co record holders for longest FG)
