I bid on an item today, with two hours left, and was the top bidder with about 10 minutes to go.
I watched the item almost triple in price with 10 miutes left, and not rebidding, I lost the item.
Not a problem, isn't the first item I've lost, and I'm sure it will not be the last one.
But wait....about five minutes after the end of the auction I receive a "Second Offer" email from the seller.
Now I checked the sellers feedback and it seems like he has several of the same people buying his items. One guy will buy everything he list over a few days, then someone else buys for the following few days, etc. etc. And of course it's the same "great guy" feedback. Looks like they just cut and paste the feedback.
He averages (looking at his monthly, six month, and yearly feedback) about 1800 items per month, with a feedback of 97%. He has not had any negative in the last month, but for the last six months he has had 90 negatives, and well over 200 for the past year....but when you are talking 1800 positives per month, I don't think the negatives are that bad?
My concern is why he would offer me a second chance as soon as the auction ended?
