Everyone has seen my threads about my buddy that I do card shows with...you know the guy that pulled the Danica Patrick 2010 Premium Autograph #7/25 (Door Number) or the 2010 Hulk Hogan TNA Quad Autograph #/5.
Well....he's done it again! He purchased ONE (1) box of 2011 Goodwin and pulled the very popular and highly sought after Michael Jordan Autograph.
He usually ask me to move the cards for him, either through trades (have done many here) or on eBay. This time he let a neighbor do it.
The original listing price had a Buy It now of $899.00. He turned down several offers of $300 to $400.00.
After seven days the card was relisted with a Buy It Now of $699.00.
Last night he turned down an offer for $550.00....why? Because the buyer wanted the card shipped for the $550.00 and my friend was asking for $7.50 in shipping on top of the $550.00.
Gordon Gekko (from the Wall Street Movie) made the comment: "The point is ladies and gentlemen that greed, for lack of a better word, is good."
But in this case....greed just cost him $550.00.... or am I looking at this wrong?
