                        On ESPN, Rob Parker said a pitchers stats were worse only because he "pitches to the scoreboard and doesn't care about giving up a few runs with a lead"

                        Which makes no sense at all, no pitcher wants to give up runs...

                            but you have to admit.. IF you know you have BIG BATS in your teams line-up that you are more prone to throw a few "bad pitches" here and there...

                            if your team scores 5 runs a game, you dont have to worry about throwing a few meatballs up to the plate hoping to get away with one here and there right?

                              I honestly think it depends on the pitcher. I guess it depends on the mentality, i'm sure a guy like Nolan Ryan if it was 1-0 or 15-0 never wanted to give up a run.

                              Just my .02 though
