They're gonna regret that one BIG TIME. Sounds like they eventually plan on making him the full time 1st basemen, and if all he's gonna do is hit singles, he's basically an overpaid Casey Kotchman LOL

As for MVP, I doubt Verlander gets it, to many small minded voters. Same reason why a guy on a playoff team wouldn't win the award most likely anymore
