The Indians never 'almost' got him. They wanted Hafner for him and the Indians had ZERO INTEREST in giving up Hafner for Burnett, regardless of how much of his contract they were gonna eat.

And I don't have to be inside their room to know what's going on, when there's MULTIPLE Indians beat writers mentioning the exact same thing on twitter.

The fact that the Indians turned down an offer to SHED PAYROLL with a Hafner-for-Burnett swap should tell you all you need to know about how much 'interest' the Indians actually had in him in the first place, considering how cheap the Dolans are.
