Avatar has become the #1 Domestic Box Office Film of all time on Wednesday. Titanic held the record with $600.8 million. Avatar is still going strong with $601.1 million so far. If you look at price inflation especially with 3D ticket sales, each 3D ticket sold brings in about $5 more. I really wanted The Dark Knight to break that record, but it didnt help that Warner Bros released the DVD 4 months after the film was released in threatres. James Cameron now holds the top 2 spots, until George Lucas rereleases the Star Wars Trilogy in theatres for the umpteenth time.
