Music Question...

What singer/band did you love their debut album, only to be disappointed by the follow up and every album there after?

For me:

1.) Bell Biv Devoe - Loved Poison, Do Me, Dope, but could not stand any of their other albums afterwards - partly because they went Gangsta!

2.) Alanis Morrisette - First album had a lot of emotion and well written songs. I did like "Hands Clean" as a single, but the rest of the album stunk!

3.) Mariah Carey - first album had 4 number 1 hits. Didn't care so much for her stuff after when she went a little too "Hootchie Mama" for me.

Honorable Mention

Do I dare say Cyndi Lauper?? I admit, I was a child of the 80's and her first album was fun. Not so much after that.

Live - Throwing Copper. BEST album of my college years. However, this only made honorable mention because they did release two small albums with independents before releasing this as their first major release - so I don't know if it counts.

What made your list???

I was pretty disappointed with everything Crossfade put out after their first big album.

New Found Glory had an EP and full length before I first heard them on their third album, but nothing after that was any good.

Falling in Reverse had a great first album, but their second was a complete dud to me.

I'm sure I will think of more as the question lingers in my brain... haha
