What Would You Do If You Won $1 Million?

I thought this would be a good thread for everyone to share what they would do in this situation.

What would you do if you won $1 million? What would you buy? What would you invest in? How much of it would you actually save?

Since I live in an apartment, I would first buy a house. I would get some new furniture and maybe a new car, but nothing too fancy. I would help out my family with some of their bills. I would maybe set aside a few thousand dollars to spend for the year on any cards I would want. I would then save/invest whatever else I had left.

I would payoff my house and buy a house for my mother and brother.

me and my brother own a drywalling biz,and on the side i love to sale electronics,mostly cell phones. so i would own a cell phone/pawn shop here in this small town lol.

buy a nice house for my new wife and I.bigger one then we are livng in now,since we got a little on on the way. help my family out as much as possible,and live each day go on like normal. i seriously dont think it would change much lol. im not the type to go out and buy a $100k car and a $400k house waste of $500k lol

then, pay off college and credit card loans, buy my parents a nice house, invest a bunch, and send myself to the next Olympic games, wherever in the world it was

I'd invest it all and live off the interest. If I could get 10% return, that's 100k. After taxes, it could be around 70k/yr.

$1 mil doesn't really go that far nowadays. $10 mil is when you can live a little larger.

Most middle class people will earn a million in their lifetime. 25 yrs x $40k = $1 mil. Double that for your spouse too.

If I won a MILLION $$$$$ I'd - give some to church/charity, pay the taxes from the million, and divide the remainder by 10 and use each one of those tenth portions to cover the money needed in place of the money I'd be losing because I'd have RETIRED. After ten years both my wife and I would be drawing social security and be eligible for medicare/medicaid. Until we're eligible for those the money from the million we had & my retirement check would take care of us. So if there is anyone out there who wants a write off on their taxes write a a MILLION $$$$$ check to me - it'll help with your taxes, help pay for my needs, let me retire, and give some younger person the opportunity to get a job in the teaching profession.
