Anyone collect stamps while you are young?
I do......my dad use to make me having a "healthy" hobby, he collects stamps and coins.
So, I became a casual stamps collector, just to entertain my dad.
Even though I am not really into this hobby, I do keep all the stamps and coins me and my dad collects together before he passed away 12 years ago, just for the memories.
I am planning to move in a couple months, to a smaller place, I have to give up many things. I decided to sell all the stamps and coins collection to raise some funds for moving expenses. (Sorry Dad, you know I need money right now.)
I am doing some research in order to sell the collection, I find out something really interesting.
This is a 1980 Stamp from PRC, the year of Monkey.
Current value at about USD1000 each.
I believed I bought them for HKD5 back in 1980 when I am a schoolboy.
I also have other Zodiac sign stamps from the first run (1980-1991),
Roaster, Dog, Pig, Mouse, Cow, Rabbit and Dragon. But only the monkey have this kind of value.
I already found one buyer would give me HKD5000 for 1.
