The New York Rangers have traded star right wing Marian Gaborik to the Columbus Blue Jackets, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.
The deal, which is pending league approval, took place less than an hour before Wednesday's NHL trade deadline of 3 p.m. ET.
The Rangers received center Derick Brassard, right wing Derek Dorsett and defenseman John Moore in the deal, the source told ESPNNewYork.com.
The Rangers already made a significant trade on Tuesday with the deadline looming, acquiring forward Ryane Clowe from San Jose in exchange for three draft picks. Clowe is expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
