I think they should have done it long time ago.

I think it's good to have it as soon as possible. I know some people are afraid that some mistake will be made during the playoffs and the outcome will be determined my a mistake made by an official, but I think it's not worth the risk if someone gets even more seriously injured.

Here is an update on this new proposal. To be passed, it just needs final approval from the NHL players association.

The NHL players union has approved the new rule. The 2 worst incidents this year were the concussions of David Booth and Marc Savard that caused them to miss significant ice time. Both of them are on my Fantasy Hockey Team too.
