The Tampa Bay Lightning fired both General Manager Brian Lawton & Coach Rick Tocchet. The Lightning finished this season with a record of 34-36-12.

Tampa's a mess. I was surprised they game Tocchet the head coach position in the first place, given his gambling issues. There are a bunch of coaches around his caliber. Why get a guy that's been tied to some bad company??

For Lawton, he seemed to get the Milbury disease. One year, we're going for it, next year, re-build! Following year, we're going for it! Rebuild!

Lecavalier's contract is a killer. They have to unload it. Sure he's the face of the franchise, but you've overpaid him and now you're stuck. They were fortunate enough to unload Richard's contract. But they lost a pretty decent player because if bad management. Now with Stamkos, Hedman, Carter Ashton coming up, they need to decide what direction they're heading in.

The new GM is going to have his work cut out for him.

i dunno, trade Lecavalier to Montreal for Plekanec and Halak. Or Price, straight up.
