  • Whatever Happened To Scott Speed?

Remember the up-and-coming driver in the Nationwide Series a couple years ago? His dollar sign Autographs ($$) were HOT at one time.

He's left NASCAR....no longer assigned to a car in the Nationwide series.

    Guess what....I found him!

Scott Speed, who started out in Formula One before jumping to NASCAR, is now a driver in the Indy Car Circuit.

He hasn't made the start of any race, in fact he asked another driver (Carpentier) to test his car before qualifying for the Indy 500, but the car crashed and was beyond repair, so Scott did not get to race in the Indy 500.

Dragon Racing, the team that put Scott in the drivers seat, has planned only one other race for Scott to drive in this year. The season finale at Las Vegas.

Rumour has it he is driving the #33 for Kevin, but as far as drivers assigned to a driver spot, NASCAR doesn't list him.

Hoping he does get a race or two under his belt. This young talent needs to be kept in NASCAR, used more that just a part-time driver, and not have his time wasted over at Indy as a "fill-in".

It's not a rumor...Harvick has already signed him to run a few races for him (Iowa, Montreal). Harvick has also stated the door is open for more NNS races depending on how well he runs.
