  • Steve Stricker Wins John Deere Classic

This guy is such a beast. He was 2 strokes down after 16, and makes a huge, fairly long birdie putt on the par 5 17th to get within one of the lead. The leader Kyle Stanley playing one hole ahead of Stricker hits his tee shot into the trees right, then follows up with a shot to the right green-side bunker. He chips past the hole about 9 feet, and lips out his par putt to take a bokey 5, and a tie for the lead.

Stricker waiting on the 18th tee hits his tee shot left in the fairway bunker, and leaves himself a very awkward stance for his second shot. After deliberating for what seems like forever, he hits a beautiful 6 iron just past the hole, and off the green. That shot in itself was awesome. He then decides to putt for birdie off the green, and drains the putt for the birdie, and a one shot victory. Shot 3, and 4 at the 18th were something to watch. Stricker has got to be considered one of the best in the world right now.
