  • The crash (no pun intended) of Kyle Busch may be beginning...

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—The fallout from Kyle Busch’s road rage at Texas continued Thursday when one of his sponsors asked for him to be removed from the season-ending Nationwide Series race, The Associated Press has learned.

Multiple people familiar with Busch’s schedule told the AP that Z-Line Designs asked this week that Denny Hamlin replace Busch in next weekend’s Nationwide race at Homestead. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because Busch’s future was still being discussed Thursday with sponsors and Joe Gibbs Racing.

Among the options being considered is Aric Almirola replacing Busch in the final two Sprint Cup Series races of the season, as primary sponsor M&M’s decides how it wants to proceed with Busch. Although NASCAR has cleared Busch to race this weekend at Phoenix, JGR officials have been silent on his status in Sunday’s Cup race.
Well, there's one sponsor that doesn't want him. Looks like it's time for JGR and M&M's to decide if they still want him.

Couldn't happen to a better driver, either.

Sponsors don't want d-bags representing their company...especially when their company gets most of their national exposure through NASCAR racing.

Agreed but I suspect he will have M&M's next year. That would be an overreaction

From the rumors, M&M's is the sponsor that's most mad about this whole thing. Read their comments about the incident. They weren't happy at all.

And with Matt Kenseth needing a sponsor, there's no guarantee that M&M's will stick with Kyle, especially when they could go to a Cup champion who has a clean (albeit boring) image.

Doesn't sound good as far as M&M's sticking around.....ESPN reported that Kyle will race in the 18 in the last two races, but M&M's won't be on the car. Instead Interstate Batteries will be on it.

They only run 6-8 races a year though and aren't looking to sponsor a full season....so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

M&M's has announced that they will stay on the 18 in 2012. Basically they said their contract runs through then, but if Kyle has one more misstep, come 2013 it'll either be M&M's staying with Gibbs, or Kyle staying with Gibbs. So I guess we'll see if he can go a full season next year without driving like an idiot.
