Here is the video from the WWF Debut of Diamond Dallas Page before King of the Ring 2001. DDP was always one of my favorite wrestlers in WCW. The fans obviously cheered for him and cared when he debuted, but WWF dropped the ball with him. After the storyline with The Undertaker, they basically buried DDP and gave him a joke gimmick. They could have made him a huge heel main eventer like Booker T.
WWE usually doesnt promote/push any wrestlers that made a name for themselves in another company (WCW/ECW/TNA). There have been a few exceptions with Booker T, Big Show, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Rey Misterio, and Rob Van Dam. I never understood why they never did anything with DDP. This is the main reason that Sting has never signed with the Vince because WWE would probably bury his name as they have with other WCW established wrestlers: Goldberg, DDP, NWO, etc.
