13 drivers are now eligible for the Championship this year after NASCAR decided to add Jeff Gordon to the Chase 6 days after the Richmond incidents. No specific reason was given other than 'because we can' and because of 'all of the circumstances'.

That'll really bring credibility to the sport.

and they change restart procedures now 2nd place car can beat the leader to the line. Way I see it then they should award the 48 team with the bonus pts for winning a race seeing how they stole one from him earlier
