First, I believe we SHOULD have the National Anthem before every race.
Now, with that being said.....
If you get invited to sing the National Anthem at a NASCAR race (or anyother event!) DO NOT....and I can't say this loud enough....DO NOT take the song and turn it into an opera.....sing the song and move on. I am so tired of these singers that think they need to drag out the notes and take a very beautiful 2 and a 1/2 minute song and turn it into a 5 minute opera!!!
