Football card draft (updated rules)

I would maybe consider a minimum value of $8. However, I think there shouldn't be a limit on what we send as far as number of jsys, autos, rcs etc.

Agreed - I just don't want to be on either bookend. Give all the best cards and end up with crap or be embarrased because I am the person who sends all the cards that are crap

Can totally see both sides of the coin. I am cool with a 8 or 10 dollar minimum for each.

As for rookies, it does not matter to me. I always send in GU and Autos as I don't pull out my Rookies normally. Although, I do have one I am going to throw in there this time that I think some people might like. We shall see!

Ya know, what Tim did last time was 10 dollar minimum per card, and at least 150 in total BV total. So, if we went 8 dollar minimum, we could say the total BV needs to be 100 so that people that put in a lot of 8 dollar cards would have to come up with one pretty nice card on top of it to meet both criteria. Thoughts?

I think that's why a star player/ starter idea helps. At least somebody loves/loved them at some point. There has to be some kind of rules that keep it fair and open for people to be able to do while still keeping it fun. In the end I'll follow any rules but I think a discussion about them is helpful. Good ideas can come up.

That's a good idea too. The rules were changed on this one to have the same $150 total I believe.

I will be honest, I don't care if the guys I get cards of started for the team or not. I collect everyone that played for my teams. So, a Taylor Price GU/Auto would be acceptable to me, and that guy was a chump!

Also, I was in the last one we did, and the 150 was hard for me to meet. So, if that is the case again in this one, I might have a hard time getting to that level!

I don't care about star players either. I love Redskins. It was just a way to keep it fair because in the last one a couple people sent all junk and some people sent really good cards.

BTW I just want to say I LOVED the draft last time I was in it. It was a lot of fun and I'm not complaining. I do think throwing around ideas is good and that we will come out of it with a good draft for more people to be in.

No doubt. It is important to have some sort of guidelines, and just make sure it doesn't happen that way.

I am good with whatever we all decide. I will do my best to meet whatever we come up with.

I think a minimum per card and a minimum total is a good way to go, just need to figure out the limits for both!

Yeah, ideas and constructive discussions are always a good thing. And whatever we all decide is all good with me. I want in, and will do my darndest to get a lot of stuff together for entry guys. It was a blast last time Tim did it. I had a great time. So, hopefully this one will be as good.

One thing, if the limits were a little more leniant, we might see a couple more people join.

I will throw something similar out there for an idea...

10 cards total
Each card a BV of at least 8 bucks
A total of all 10 cards should be at least 125 bucks
A mix of GU/Autos/Inserts/Rookies are welcome (but maybe say you have to have at least 1 of each)
Starters/Stars I am kind of indifferent on
