  • What do you have to do to order boxes directly from Topps?

    I'm probably going to start buying boxes to resell soon. I'd prefer to get them directly from Topps as opposed to the LCS. Does anyone know what's required?

    Collecting:
    Baseball HOF Autos & Patches (no jerseys, unless old)
    Griffey RCs, Autos, & Patches + RCs, Autos, & Patches for Other Future HOFers.
    Higher end top prospect cards.
    Will consider vintage cards of well known players

    I think you would need a seller's license from your city. I think that is something card companies require. And you have to buy x number of boxes products before they agree to sell them to you.

      From personal experience, TOPPS, Upper Deck, etc., will require a business license and will report to the IRS what you purchase, so be prepared to file taxes/pay state sales tax on what you sell. Upper Deck use to require pictures and other proof that you have a brick and mortar shop. I don't know what TOPPS minimum order is now, but someone like Brent Williams(brentandbecca) might be able to tell you. Personally, I would rather order from Blowout or Dave and Adams. Their markup isn't that much and buying by the case would bring down the cost.
