A permanent spray glue from 3M would work but you have to be neat with it.

I took a first shot at some this weekend. Used some donor cards for the autos, and tried a couple of different thing. A couple came out nice, a couple not so nice. But they are custom, and to me, it is for fun. Thinking about grabbing up a cheap jersey of the Pats and making some custon patch cards for some guys that I can't seem to find any GU of the pats. Guys like Fred Taylor. Anywho, just fun stuff. Again, certainly not making these to sell em! They will stay with me forever. A very cool idea honestly.

Will do when I can get them scanned for sure. They are pretty weak attempts some of them. But, just trying to figure it all out and see if I can do it.

I've got some old clothing from Tyler Colvin (his little league and high school pants given to my son). I could give this a try myself.

Woody - when you added the fabric, did you have to make a complete new back? I'm guessing you could use 2 of the same card - one for the front and one for the back. Either that or I could make up my own back - though I don't think I am talented enough to do that.

So, I did all autos so far. Nothing with jerseys. But, I like what the young lady did with her patches near the beginning of this thread. I am considering picking up a Pats jersey with the stitched on letters and using the nice parts of that. I could make a TON of cards from that. And honestly, since they are only for my own collection I don't care about the validity of the jersey or swatch. I just think it would be fun to make some cool unique cards honestly. The material I use will not be from any sort of game work type jersey. Just a Pats jersey I get in a store. I have a cool idea for the player whose name is on it though. Something I might try.

But, with that said, what I did was I made most of them with the front and back card the same. When I didn't have two copies, I tried to use one from the same company. And I didn't have that even so I just used whatever. The front was the more important one to me. I am only going to make customs of cards that I could not otherwise find an auto version of, or when I do game used, a game used version of.

All I did was cut out the section I wanted the auto to show through on the front. Then took a pack filler and cut out where I was going to glue the auto into. Then I glued on the back card to the pack filler. Then glued in the auto. Then glued on the front card. Pretty simple honestly. But, again, nothing like the ones here. But sort of cool anyway. It was fun, and I will keep trying and probably going to grab a jersey to use on some of those types as well.

Here's some Non Sport stuff I did recently.

As a kid in the 80's nothing could tear my brother and I away from the tube while watching The Dukes of Hazzard. As a tribute of sorts to the iconic show my graphic designer and I came up with this booklet design to house these cut autographs.Needless to say I am really happy with the results and the build of this nostalgic booklet. This is my first non-sport custom quad auto booklet.Any feedback is welcome from the community and thanks for the look. -Steve

Since making the "Dukes of Hazzard" booklet,a few members posted some ideas for a next project. Here's another nostalgic sitcom booklet I wanted to build.I co-created the graphics with another graphic designer have been waiting on the autos to become available to build it.I personally love this show today as much as I did as a teen in the 90's.This booklet was a blast to make and I hope you enjoy it.Any feedback/questions are welcome from the community and thanks for the look. -Steve

I did these over the weekend. My son wanted one and I made him the Zac Robinson. A little rough around the edges, but this is all for fun. Had fun with these for sure. Going to grab up a jersey and make some custom patch cards I think.

Pretty cool man. So, I went and grabbed a small jersey to cut into pieces. I have a few that turned out pretty nice. I am trying to put together some that I can't find otherwise. I am doing a few Tebow ones, and also a cool mini set of Brady ones out of Topps Finest from this year, since I have so many of those. So many as in at least 20 of em. So, see how these turn out. The first one was pretty cool. Took a while, but I think it came out pretty nice.
