The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Browns first-round pick Brandon Weeden is not yet signed because his agents are seeking a fully guaranteed contract.
As beat writer Mary Kay Cabot notes, it's the same reason that Browns 2011 first-round pick Phil Taylor wound up missing the first four days of last year's training camp. Players drafted late in the first round typically get the first three seasons of their four-year rookie deals guaranteed, but none or only some of the fourth. We'd still expect Weeden to be signed before August.
