It did slow down when Freaks slowed down overall, but when it started, it was a very good addition. I really liked it.

From reading it really quickly, it sort of seems like an auction type deal where members will bid on a card(s) with card scans provided and the highest bidder wins after the time expires?

Well not necessarily the "highest" bidder. Whoever you think offers you the best card, or group of cards for what you have up for trade will be the winner at the end of the auction.
