They had extra money they had to spend it I guess. I disagree with Cashman. If you have a chance to get one of the top closers in the game you get him. Mo is not getting any younger and it is flat out insurance that will pay dividends in the post season

Verlander has been filthy, extremely inconsistent though, but made the O's look foolish for the most part, sounds like Leyland isn't sending him out for the 8th despite him only having pitched 99 pitches through 7..Comment
