I saw that in the box score. I did not watch the game.. Pretty sure because of Colon being in the rotation now and Girardi running out Soriano/RIvera in the 8th and 9th that it was a timing deal with this only being a 2 game series and day off Thursday ...No clue myself. Joe G has run Garcia out of the pen as well. I think it was for work if I had to guess. It took 2 weeks before Garcia even started it seemed due to the schedule..

edit oh yeah that is coming off a bye
Hopefully the Steelers have already locked in their playoff seed on 1/1 and their backups give the Browns a mercy win.

I checked yahoosports and he starts on Saturday. Just seemed odd, figured he'd use a reliever and not his starter? I don't know..maybe its just me?

Just a personal opinion of course, but when you have a starter, unless its absolutly needed I wouldnt bring them in the game in relief..

But atleast for now, the AL East is a bunch of sub .500 teams then the Yanks, so no harm no foul..

He did the same thing with Garcia so who knows. I am sure there is a method to his madness
