Oh and while i'm ranting. Alex Avila should be the leading vote getter for catcher in the AL. He's EASILY been the best hitting catcher, nobody touches this guy. #SeaWolfPride #FearThe5OClockShadow

Who cares All Star voting is for chics... I remember Cal Ripken making it one year hitting .200
Avila should be starting but do not say nobody touches him.

Heck even you see it. Take out Jeter, Arod, Martin and Texieria and add A. Cabrera, Beltre, Avila and Gonzo at this point.
NO reason the ENTIRE Yankees infield should be the top vote getters right now

dude avilia and martin are a wash. Do not act like it is cut and dry you big baby. Is that how jaded you are you are going to break it down by minimal stats. If so you are never going to be happy man. This was happening before you were born. I would love to see who was the guy that backed up Cal that year lolLast edited by wheeler281; 06-01-2011, 04:38 PM.

Avila
.280 Batting Average
8 HRs
29 RBIs
.350 OBP
.531 SLG
17 Runs scored
.881 OPS
Martin
.243 Batting Average
9 HRs
26 RBIs
.354 OBP
.461 SLG
23 Runs scored
.814 OPS
Seems rather cut and dry to me..HRs/RBIs/OBP are close..Martin with a few more runs (plays for a better offense of course)
Avila torches him on batting average, SLG, OPS..And its not even close there. So don't you act like its not cut and dry..
Look at those stats, tell me who is better thus far?
