he was not the only one that after he had cup clinched so early that just did laps. he was just the last guy because he made it look so obvious.

I imagine Harvick would have done the same last year under the old system. His lead was out of control so early

Even Joe Nemechek tries to win every week. Only problem is he can't! I honestly don't believe any driver is happy finishing 8th. To suggest that about any of them is just silly. I can understand it if it's the last race at Homestead, and you need to finish 14th, or better to win the championship. Then I can see a team points racing, but I find it hard to believe any of them will do it on purpose. The crew chiefs may be thinking it, and strategizing it, but I just don't think a driver has it in his mentality to think that way.

Jr's about to miss the Chase all together given how bad he usually runs at Pocono/Watkins Glen. He's gonna need some real good luck at those tracks and hope to bring home top-15's if he wants to make this Chase.
